Eighth Graders Look Forward to High School (March 28, 2009)
Trinity’s 8th grade class received word from high schools in the
past few weeks, and the news was overwhelmingly positive. There are 38
8th grade students, and 37 earned acceptance into their first-choice
schools. Our students gained admission to St. Stephen's Episcopal
School, St. Andrew's Episcopal School, St. Michael's Catholic Academy,
Hyde Park Baptist School, Regents, and LASA (the Liberal Arts and
Science Academy High School). Trinity students also were accepted at
some very prestigious boarding schools, including Choate Rosemary Hall,
Hotchkiss, Taft, Middlesex, and Westminster.
“With a near-100%
acceptance rate at area independent schools, an impressive acceptance
rate at out-of-state boarding schools, and 37 of our 38 students
accepted to their first choice high school, Trinity continues to
establish itself as the premier K-8 independent school in Austin,” says
High School Placement Director Kathy Bloch-Swarts.
Congratulations to all our 8th graders! What a terrific record!
