Everyday Opportunities to Explore Faith and Character
Chapel is an important part of our shared life at Trinity. We value gathering as a community and reflecting on what it means to be children of God, to be good people, to act in service to others, and to live out our individual faith traditions. Families are warmly welcomed to join us for chapel each day.
Our community celebrates three chapel services each morning, one for students in grades K-2, one for students in grades 3-5 and one for Middle School students. All school chapel is held once a month. There are many special chapel services each year including Opening Services, Flowering of the Cross, and All Saints’ Day. We celebrate Christmas with a Lower School Pageant and a Middle School Lessons & Carols.
Chapel is an optimistic and joyous time for students, parents, faculty and staff. We come together to support one another, to strengthen our community, and to learn about and reflect on how we can become the people God calls us to be. A spiritual and values-based life is explored on a daily basis. We pray for our own needs and those of others, count our many blessings, grieve and mourn losses, and celebrate successes and birthdays.
Our chapel services are led by Trinity’s Chaplain and are based on the Episcopal liturgy, with the Book of Common Prayer providing the framework for the order of worship. Every student is offered the opportunity to serve as a crucifer or banner bearer. Older students may serve as lectors.
